Open Position: Customer Service Representative

CPI Business Solutions is looking for an On-Site Customer Service Representative at one of well-respected customers in the Lafayette Area. This is a ground-floor opportunity. We provide the training, so all you need to get started is:

  • A desire to deliver excellent customer service. This is an onsite role (not remote) where you will be the face of the company with our client.
    • Act as the first point of contact for your assigned client. Answer phone calls and questions. Serve as a liaison between the client and CPI.
    • Manage the supplies (such as toner) and inventory associated with office printers and copiers to ensure our client has what they need when they need it.
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to see things through to completion.
    • Provide consistent follow up. If you need to get back to a client with an answer to their question or check on the status of a needed supply, promptly follow up to ensure no detail falls through the cracks.
  • The ability to solve problems. We’ll give you the training and you can apply it to the day-to-day client issues that arise.
    • This may mean doing some simple troubleshooting on a printer, fix a basic malfunction or reset, or reaching out to our internal technical team to make sure the problem gets fixed in a timely manner. These are not highly technical problems, rather something that might routinely occur in a general office setting.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • To be detailed oriented with the ability to consistently follow up.
  • To enjoy solving problems for others. While this is not a technical position, it could be a good way to explore an entry-level technical role if desired.
  • Live in the greater Lafayette area. This is not a remote position.
  • Basic computer skills, working within software (such as email).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Upon hire, to successfully complete drug testing.
